LOSS CONTROL
Our staff is ready to assist you in your
loss control or cargo claims problems. We have more than 20 years experience in
the complete spectrum of loss control issues. We can assist an existing loss
control staff or provide our own loss control monitoring and cargo claims
processing service. We will work with the customer to provide the service that
best integrates with their requirements.
QAnalytics offers several loss control
services:
-
Evaluations of Loss Control programs – We
will review your current loss control program and develop recommendations for
improvements to become more effective.
-
Loss Control Analysis – We analyze loadings,
discharges, or the complete voyage to identify the location of losses. We
provide multiple voyage analysis including the overall loss monitoring of
voyages from specific load ports or to specific discharge ports. When
warranted we will recommend claims action. Multiple voyage loss analysis is
useful to determine measurement biases which may be the cause of ongoing
losses.
-
Cargo Claims processing – We analyze the
voyage, including all custody transfers, and prepare the claims documentation
for filing the claim and follow up for claim settlement.
-
Loss Control Monitoring – We are planning to
develop a database for loss control monitoring and reporting. The database
will be used to collect shore and vessel measurements that will be used for
loss monitoring and voyage analysis. Reports will be developed for monitoring
losses by grade, port, and vessel.
-
Custody Transfer Terminal / Vessel Surveys –
We oversee the measurements and custody transfer on the shore and vessels. We
report on the performance against industry standards and normal industry
practice. We will review terminal and vessel measurement procedures and
evaluate the independent inspector performance. We identify measurement
procedure deficiencies, perform a technical analysis of the cargo transfer,
and recommend follow up action.
-
Independent Inspector Audits – We attend
load or discharge operations with the independent inspectors and evaluate
their performance against industry standards and contract requirements.
-
Inspection Report Audits – We review
inspection reports to confirm completeness and reasonableness of data.
Inspection summaries are reviewed against appointing clients requirements and
format. Inspection data is restructured and formatted to meet client
reporting requirements.
